LIFE FITNESS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED TALWALKARS FITNESS FELLOWSHIP PUNE GROUP Life Fitness India Private Limited is a joint venture between Mr. Madhukar Talwalkar, Mrs. Usha Talwalkar, Dr. Virendra Sherlekar and Mrs. Asha Sherlekar. Branches in Pune are under the name of Talwalkars Fitness Fellowship Mr. Talwalkar is the founder of Talwalkars Chain of Health Clubs in India with Branches in Mumbai, Lucknow, Kanpur, Vapi, Baroda, Bangalore and Chennai. Dr. Sherlekar and Asha Sherlekar are experts in the fitness field having been in the United States of America for 20 years. Sherlekars are the pioneers of Aerobics movement in India. First association of Talwalkars and Sherlekars started in 1986 in the field of Aerobics with the formation of National Institute of Aerobics. After 18 years, the Aerobics in Warden Road branch of Talwalkars still boasts the record membership and most loyal clientele. The decision to come to Pune was made in 1990. The first branch was opened in February 1991 at FC Road. Today, FC Road branch has 8500 square feet of facilities and over 2000 members. Through thorough training of instructors and dietician, we offer the maximum results to all our clients. It is this dedication to service that has contributed to 15% growth each year, regardless of competition. At Talwalkars, we stay current with the state-of-the-art advances in the fitness field through review of research and frequent visits to Europe and the United States of America. The second branch began operation in Camp in 1999. The whole building was conceived and constructed as a health club, first such facility in India. Camp branch has over 8000 square feet of efficiently laid out floor space with swimming pool on the terrace. The membership at Camp has rapidly grown to over 2000 members in just 3 years. It has the largest gym floor with 2200 square feet of dedicated space. Camp branch has also undertaken vertical integration by opening a PhysioCenter to cater to rehabilitation population. Thus we offer services from rehab to wellness all under one roof. This unique combination is also is the first in India today. This is already an established trend in the United States of America. Pimpri branch went on stream in year 2000. In its second year of operation it has taken a strong foothold in Pimpri and carrying out our tradition of delivering Maximum Results to our Pimpri clients. Fourth branch was opened in April 2004 in Koregaon Park. The branch became fully operational in 3 months. It is serving members in Koergaon Park, Bund Garden Road, and Kalyani Nagar areas. We have exceeded our income targets by providing excellent service to our new members. To enable us to expand out of Pune we have formed an associate company, Pinnacle Fitness Private Limited. Life Fitness India Private Limited holds 35% equity in the new company. The strategy is to establish Talwalkars presence in Delhi and surrounding areas.
