Skill & Job Requirements: 1. Bachelors degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
2. 4+ years experience on the System z or zSeries (mainframe) platform including hands on technical experience (installation and maintenance of products)
3. Preferred: Operating system upgrade experience
4. Strong analytical skills and understanding of z/OS (operating system) internals
5. Strong knowledge of JCL and software concepts
6. Knowledge of a high-level programming language or Assembler is a plus
7. Self-motivated and able to work independently
8. Can follow procedures and/or standards well while providing suggestions or enhancements
9. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations)
